SCHOLARSHIPS
APPLICATION DEADLINE EXTENDED TO OCTOBER 31
Since our inception, one of LARP Cooperative’s core priorities has been agriculture education. From our humble beginnings rooted in the Susanville Community Garden project, LARP developed a stepping stone project for food systems development and education delivery through the Thompson Peak Education Farm. Last year, LARP’s Board of Directors awarded three local scholarships to outstanding volunteers for their efforts in supporting the 2024 Susanville Farmers’ Market.
This year, scholarship(s) will be awarded from funds raised through the 2025 Lassen County Grown Harvest Hootenanny event to one or more Lassen County youth aged 9 through 20. Applications will be reviewed and recipient(s) selected by the LARP Cooperative Board of Directors. Selection(s) will be made based upon the following factors: Eligibility, Application Completeness, Personal Background & Motivation, Academic & Career Goals, Agricultural Knowledge, Community Involvement & Engagement, and Application Clarity.
